Exhibition of works by Valery Bayda

From July 19th till August 17th in the gallery "Jekabs" (Jekaba street 26/28) will be presented an exhibition of paintings by Valery Bayda.
Valery Bayda is a multilateral artist. In his works he depicts landscapes, still lifes, portraits, interiors and figurative compositions. He works with oil, watercolors and works in graphic technique. The artist in his works successfully combines the drawing with a special perception of color, decorativeness and a deep understanding of the mood of nature. Valery Bayda's paintings are simultaneously imbued with Impressionist and Russian realistic schools of painting. Light contrasts, virtuosic technique of the brush stroke and thoroughness in the reproduction of the object forms his individual handwriting. Especially important for the artist is the perception of natural harmony. This is harmoniously revealed in the works of the artist presented at the exhibition.
Valery Baida was born in 1958 in Russia. From 1983 to 1989 he studied at the Faculty of Arts of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. This allowed him to combine the original composition of the artist - the stage designer and the disturbing images of the school of good academic realism. Since 1991, the artist lives in Latvia. Since 2007, Valery is a member of the Artists' Union of Latvia.
